    Biography

Dr. Stets’ research focuses on using and extending identity theory in sociological social psychology. She is currently developing the moral identity. The goal is to investigate how an identity at a theoretically more abstract level relates to identities at a lower level, and how higher-ordered identities infiltrate behavior at a lower level in identity control theory.
